Diwali, a religious holiday for both Sikhs, and Hindu's, was on Wednesday October 29
th. For Hindu's this festival is about Lord Rams return from exile. For Sikhs Diwali is the day when Guru
Hargobind freed himself, and 52 kings held prisoners to
Emperor Jahingir. Emperor
Jahingir wanted to rule over all of India. He had also agreed to free the Guru, after the Kings pleaded the Guru be freed. But Guru
Hargobind said that he wouldn't leave without the 52 Kings, and he didn't. He freed them along with himself. Sikhs celebrated the release of their Guru (teacher). Every year my family, and I celebrate Diwali.
